Shaweta Singla, PhD is Associate Director of Research Development and joined Research Development Office, OVCR early this year. Her current role is to support proposal development for Transcend Initiative Seed Grants and assist in achieving their milestones. Prior to WashU, she served as an Associate Admin Director and Multidisciplinary Proposal Developer at the Penn State, where she managed proposal development and post-award activities for institutional and faculty research and training grants. Shaweta’s expertise spans scientific and research-based proposals, clinical and translational science, evaluation and workforce development. She holds PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the University at Buffalo. Outside the office, Shaweta enjoys gardening and outdoor adventures with her family in central Pennsylvania.
